Week 2011 Itinerary
K-8 teachers will receive gum to give out at the end of the day.

· Pink Pinkies (paint your pinkie pink – morning before Oh Canada)
· Morning Video: Will I Am (You Tube link)
Wednesday
· Pink Peppermint Day (all students and staff will receive a pink peppermint) K-8 teachers will receive peppermints to give out at the end of the day.
· Pink Lemonade on sale (K-5/ WHES)
· K-5 Pink Dance (K-2 6pm – 7pm, 3-5 7pm – 8pm)
Thursday
· Positive Pink Post Its (pink Post It Note on everyone’s locker/hook with a positive message)
· Morning Video: Don’t Laugh at Me (You Tube link)
Friday
· Pink T-Shirt Day
· Pink Lemonade on sale (Middle/High School)
· Positive Pink Assembly (1:05 start to assemble in the gym)
· Picture of students and staff (1:20pm)
· Pink Dance grades 3-12 (2:00pm – 2:40pm)
We encourage the students
and staff to wear pink throughout the week.
Middle and High School can
earn Colour War points.

We have started a new unit on exponents. Students have due on Tuesday (November 15th) Exponents Lesson 1.
Other new work is exponent rules, scientific notation and ten's exponent.

Students have notes to refer to and there are lots of videos on you-tube that can show you if there is trouble and you are stuck.

Dear student and parent/guardian;
For report cards, I will be collecting Science notebooks to mark. The following should be put in the note book and all project complete to receive full marks. Please use the following check-list to ensure you have completed all list. Place this list at the front of your 3-ring-binder once you have everything checked over. Also, everything may not be on this list – please leave your supplementary notes in your book. I have been telling this to students all term – so this news should not be new to them.

2. Making Observations and Inferences BLM G-13
3. Characteristics of Living Things BLM 1-1
4. Is a candle alive? BLM 1-2
5. Early Microscopes BLM 1-3
6. Using a Microscope BLM G-2
7. Project on Living things (find a minimum of 15 living things, scientific name, place on cue card)
