1. What is osteoporosis?
2. In reference to your bones, how does
osteoporosis affect them?
3. How can a person prevent getting osteoporosis?
Or, can they prevent it? Explain.
4. Is the effect of osteoporosis the same
in males as it is in females? Explain the difference.
5. On a sheet of paper, illustrate a
healthy bone vs. an osteoporosis bone. Your drawing does not have to be a
scientific drawing. Use the full page, use pencil, draw a portion of a bone and
label the parts. You may need to research what the different x-rayed bones
looks like!
