Assignment 2: look through magazines and find one example of a scale diagram. Cut the item out and tape it to a piece of grid paper. Remember: you only need to worry about the outline of the item, not the detail in the picture.
a) Enlarge to scale of your choice (for example 2.3)
b) Reduce to scale of your choice (for example 0.67)
c) Draw your item to scale

We began Chapter 7 today in the text book. Students worked in class today on the following and should have complete:

Write the following words in your vocabulary section of your notebook.
Then, use your text book (pages 314 to 322) to write out the definition.
Some definitions you will have to sketch.

Hi students of Math 9 - I hope your exams are going well and you are doing the best you can do and that you are giving every effort to your studies. Tomorrow is your Math exam. Please have two pencils, an eraser, your calculator, and your "risk button" pushed in. Try every question, think about you are doing and show your work. Believe in yourself as much as I believe in you! If you have done your work and practiced, you will do fine.

Review "Identify Fractions that are Perfect Squares" AND on the following page, "Identify Decimals that are Perfect Squares."
Then, try questions 5 and 8 on page 11
AND, try questions 14 and 15 on page 12.
Do the questions WITHOUT A CALCULATOR and remind yourself to find the BENCHMARKS of a square root questions (the perfefct square above and below).
