On Thursday, March 17th, students were given a 20 question mid-term review. Students should complete the questions, as the exact same questions will be on the mid-term.
Students write their mid-term on Thursday, March 24th 4th and 5th blocks.
Review will be done as follows:
Monday March 21 - questions 12,13, 13.5, 14 15, and 16
These questions cover SIMILARITY AND PROPORTIONAL.
Students should be using their cue cards for SCALE FACTOR to help them. The cue cards will NOT be used on the mid-term.
Tuesday March 22 - questions 1 - 5
Practicing the scale factor formula.
Wednesday March 23 - questions remaining.
Don't forget to think about the ARTSmart reflection using the terminology in your vocabulary section of your notebook.
All answers are posted in my room AND there is extra help until Tuesday, March 22nd.

Homework - Assignments should be done!
Assignment 2: look through magazines and find one example of a scale diagram. Cut the item out and tape it to a piece of grid paper. Remember: you only need to worry about the outline of the item, not the detail in the picture.
a) Enlarge to scale of your choice (for example 2.3)
b) Reduce to scale of your choice (for example 0.67)
c) Draw your item to scale
Assignment 3
Find one shape, cut it out and copy it on grid paper.
Show an example of each of the following:
1) rotation 2) reflection 3) translation 4) enlargement
All assignments can be completed in class with the time allotted! However, if you are not done, complete for homework.

Wednesday
Hi students of Math 9 - I hope your exams are going well and you are doing the best you can do and that you are giving every effort to your studies. Tomorrow is your Math exam. Please have two pencils, an eraser, your calculator, and your "risk button" pushed in. Try every question, think about you are doing and show your work. Believe in yourself as much as I believe in you! If you have done your work and practiced, you will do fine.
